Green light on for GBL SMB Cup on Sunday

The green light is on for the 4th Gene Boyd Rodriguez-Lumawag SMB (Sarap Mag Badminton) Cup on April 27 at the Holiday Gym and Spa.

Amalia Bandiola-Cabusao, spokesperson of the GBL organizing committee, said that the friendly competition is a gathering of media workers from the tri-media to remember the late Mindanews photo editor who was gunned down in Jolo, Sulu 1,210 days ago.

Participants are requested to come on time at 8 a.m.

The one-day tournament, presented by San Miguel Beer and Holiday Gym and Spa, will have a men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles events.

“We normally don’t gather a lot because of the different schedules but this will be the time for us to be together again,” said Cabusao on Thursday’s Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at the Tower Inn.
