Bahay Aruga to benefit from Run for Knowledge @Evia

THE  Bahay Aruga, a halfway house for abused women and children, will be the beneficiary of the Run for Knowledge @Evia set on Saturday near the Evia lifestyle center in Daang Hari, Alabang Muntinlupa City.
Organized by Tri-Danic Events management led by Irma Ignacio and Cat Deogracias, the fun run will have 3K, 5K and 15K categories with cash prizes and gifts up for grabs, race director Thumbie Remigio said on Tuesday’s PSA forum at the UN Avenue branch in Manila.
Remigio added that the charity runnning event was inspired by the visit of Ignacio and Deogracias to Bahay Aruga in Paranaque where they witnessed the plight of the maltreated women and children there.
“They hope to provide the children there with books and school supplies so they can continue their education,” he said during the session sponsored by PAGCOR, Shakey’s, Smart and Outlast Battery.
Site of the races is the Evia-A Diverse City, a 600-hectare residential and commercial property developed by Vista Land straddling the city of Las Pinas and the towns of Bacoor and Dasmarinas, Cavite. Remigio said.
Registration fee to the 3K contest is P500, 5K P600 and 15K P700, said Deogracias, who thanked Gardenia, Nova snackbar, Toby’s, Reebook and WTJ Travel and Tours for supporting the event.
Interesed runners who want to join   Run for Knowledge @Evia can register at all Toby’s sports shop branches.(PSA PR)
